Robert A. Segal, Esq.
- Rob attended college at George Washington University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science; in 1991, he received a law degree from Vermont Law School. He was admitted to practice in the state Courts of Florida at the end of 1991. After a clerkship with a Miami law firm, Rob moved to Brevard County where he served as an Assistant Public Defender until 1996. He was a partner in a small firm in Melbourne until 2006 when he opened the Law Offices of Robert A. Segal, P.A.
- Today, the firm focuses on the resolution and litigation of family disputes. The firm is deeply committed to alternate dispute resolution and particularly, to collaborative law. Collaborative law is a cutting-edge approach for dealing with family conflict that centers on the client, not the process. The people involved are given the power and ability to make the decisions that will frame the rest of their lives, rather than leaving those decisions to, frankly, total strangers.
- When it becomes necessary to go to Court, Rob is licensed to practice in all of the Florida state Courts and the federal Courts in both the middle and southern districts of Florida. The firm has had great success in trying cases with various issues including divorce, child support, custody, alimony and modification. Rob successfully fought in federal court, for the return of a child, who had been wrongfully removed from the country of his residence, to his father.
